We both love Ruby... but is it too common now?

And what about Lola? .. And which is better?!

Bounty reckon that Ruby has been the 2nd most popular girls name this year. Number 9 overall, including boys. Lola is around the 100 mark. As a name I prefer Ruby but would have a hard time choosing something so popular.

Saying that...I haven't met any of either.

Ruby is perhaps overly popular. Lola isnt though, my friend has called her DD Lola and she is a beautiful lovely little girl. I don't know any other Lolas.

I think they're both pretty common, Ruby more so - sure it's in Top 5 this year?.

Both nice names, but the popularity puts me off. Wouldn't put everyone off, though.

They are both 'popular' names at the moment. However, if you love them use them!

(I prefer Ruby)
