We have two girls already, and are struggling for a name for DC3 if a girl...

What do you think of these names? Any preferences? We're stuck.

Greta would be short for Marguerite.
Clemmie for Clementine, of course!
Violet as I love flower names.
Romilly - perhaps Lily for short.

Our possible middle names are Emmeline, Claudia and Ottilie.

Obviously Clementine Emmeline is one to avoid

DD1 one cries whenever we says the baby will have one of these names - she wants to call it Leaf Pie

Ok,...
Violet is sweet but whenI hear it I always hear Violent

Romily is lovely as it is rare.

Greta,...thinks Greta Bridge/Garbo

Like Clemency very much, also rare

TooTicky · 20/09/2008 21:11

I love Greta.

Beauregard · 20/09/2008 21:09

Violet and Romilly are lovely
If you like flower names what about Hebe?

TheConfusedOne · 20/09/2008 21:07

Romilly is my favorite name trying to hint at it for DDIL

LynetteScavo · 20/09/2008 21:06

What are your DD's called?

I don't see anything wrong with Leaf Pie, myself.

LaDiDaDi · 20/09/2008 21:03

I like Greta and Romilly, Romilly more but I wouldn't use Lily as a nn, Romilly doesn't lend itself to a nn imo.

Clemmie I actively dislike (I just keep thinking of clammy) but Clementine is fine. Depends if you really want an abbreviation because Clemmie is the only obvious one.

Violet is ok. I would only use it as a middle name.

I love Emmeline and Claudia.

Ottilie is ok.
