We I am stuck for a girl's name - with me only having DD2 last September I am all named out.

Found out on Monday DC3 is another girl (well 95%) and I need some inspiration.

DD1 is Grace Elisabeth
DD2 is Maya Rose (yes I know, I know, I know Rose is too popular as a middle name...)

So please help!

DH is quite happy to just go along with what I want...

Anya was on your list of names you like but dont love so may i suggest my daughters name which is Alannah (Alanna or any other way you want to spell it). You rarely meet another Alannah and it means "dear child" as its an old irish form of endearment.

The girls names I currently like are:

Elodie, Eloise, Louisa, Meredith, Miriam, Marianne, Alicia, Rhianna, Cerys, Carys, Anna, Esme, Thea, Helena, Eleanor, Hannah, Eliza, Leah, Rebecca and Beth.

There are so many beautiful girls' names, aren't there?

pgwithnumber3 · 17/09/2008 21:22

OMG Camille could be Mimi, I daren't tell my mother that! She will never let me have another name! Actually Camille is starting to overtake the rest now... I have loved Camille since DH and I went on holiday to Mauritius (pre-children) and there was the most beautiful French little girl called Camille. I said there and then to DH that that was the name I wanted for our first DD. Grace somehow overtook it though.

Nappyaddict, already like Francesca but can't abide Fran so Frances is out as well. Love Luisa but there are already 2 Louise's in the family.

Hellooooo Dizzy - I showed my friend the Easywalker the other day, she is insisting I get one, just so I can take her DD and my DD2 out in it before the baby comes!

Out of your list of the names you had for your babies, around 4 of them have been mulled over for all of my girls (how proud I feel saying all my "girls"!

I do love love love Camille but do not want the name to be shorted to Milly.

It is so hard but I do find girls names easier than boys. Good job in it?!

Oooh I love Camille, just gorgeous. Other French names you could get away with are Elise/Elisa, Aimee, Lucie and Amelie. Sophie/Sophia goes really well with your other names, as do Isabel/lle, Phoebe, Lydia, Anna, Hannah, Amelia, Chloe, Laura, martha, Elena, Lily, Emily, Harriet. Think Kitty v. cool too!

nuthacuppatea · 17/09/2008 20:38

Yes Alice is lovely
Thea is also lovely. my sister is called Thea and I would love to call my DD3 that but would cause war between the aunties!
Saskia and kitty are lovely too. Hatrick i like your taste in names!
Grace maya Olivia?
Grace Maya Thea
Grace Maya Isla
Grace Maya Martha
Grace Maya Ria
( I've run out of ideas but i feel it should have an a at the end for some reason!

naturalblonde · 17/09/2008 19:28

Love Zara. I have one.

pgwithnumber3 · 17/09/2008 19:24

Moogatron, you may be right. My other DD's would probably have suited India (DD2 especially as she has brown/green eyes) so I don't know what I am worried about. I just imagine a very very pretty girl with the name so would have to see how DD3 turned out! Just have to convince DH! I cannot imagine an old lady called India though...

I too love Sophia but here it a lot atm. Isn't Marie Claire a magazine?

OP posts:
Moogatron · 17/09/2008 16:24

I like India too and I don't think you have to have dark hair to carry it off as I always think of tanned blonde tall ladies when I think of that name.

Names I love:

Ingrid
Imogen
Lorna
Coralie
Marie-Claire
Sophia
Xanthe
April

My DH likes Summer- worth considering?
