I was sent a postcard today with a picture of Isadora Duncan (dancer) and thought "oh this could be a sign.."

Your thoughts please...

Sorry i also keep thinking of Wizadora

Isadora, we adore her, she's the one who can brighten up our day...

Oops. Showing my age.

TheSmallClanger · 03/09/2008 22:36

I've come across Ismene too, although I don't know how it's pronounced. I assume Iz-may-nuh.

Not sure about Isadora. It's pretty, but it's a bit of a mouthful.

dizzydixies · 03/09/2008 22:34

I love it, unfortunately our surname is Duncan lol

dd3's mn is Ismay which is quite similar too if you like that?

MerlinsBeard · 03/09/2008 21:34

it immediatly made me think of Wizadora. i have never heard of Isadora Duncan

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 03/09/2008 21:32

I think it's a lovely name but, even so, rather cutesy and twee. I can't imagine that any Isadora is ever going to train to be a welder, for examaple.

I wouldn't, though, be deterred by the Isadora Duncan thing because, for almost any name you chose, you could find someone with that name who came to some sort of untimely or unpleasant end.

ScottishMummy · 03/09/2008 21:32

i had to say that to understand

myalias · 03/09/2008 21:31

Can you get me Wizadora's autograph? (only joking!) I can still remember the song. People might sing it to her - theme tune

Have you ever heard of Wizadora?
It was a program I watched as a kid.

NorthernLurker · 03/09/2008 20:47

I love the name but I think that the whole scraf thing and the awful accident where she lost both her children might put me off a bit
