There's also Kezia as an alternative version of Keziah if you prefer the ee-uh pronounciation to eye-uh

tori32 · 03/09/2008 13:49

Eliza instead of Elizabeth so it isn't shortened, although it could be Ellie iyswim

lou031205 · 03/09/2008 13:32

I know a Keziah - shortened form Kezzy.

Thought it sounded odd when she first announced the name, but now I couldn't imagine Kezzy being called anything else - she is funny, cool, and very dramatic.

You learn something every day - or at least try to

LadyPenelope · 03/09/2008 13:09

Pheobe

procrastinatingparent · 03/09/2008 13:05

Lydia - Acts 16 - first Christian in Europe!

BlueChampagne · 03/09/2008 12:41

Miriam
Ruth
Rebecca

Lydia - kind of middle eastern but don't think it's biblical

Or you can a feminine version of a male biblical name:

Andrew - Andrea
Luke - Lucy
Thomas - Thomasina
Joseph - Josephine
Gabriel - Gabrielle/a

Concepta · 03/09/2008 10:01

Damaris - Acts 17 v34

Weegiemum · 03/09/2008 08:58

Not weird, I prefer the Rebekah spelling too.

thell · 02/09/2008 22:18

Love Martha, but DH wouldn't go for it.
Like Rebekah too (more than Rebecca - is that weird?).
