Dulcie Jubilee springs to mind...

not keen

devonsmummy · 31/08/2008 13:11

I love it - Dh doesn't
When pregnant with DS we had Darcie chosen for a girl - but this seems to have become rather popular around here.
Dulcie is a good alternative I think

wheresthehamster · 31/08/2008 12:53

Agree about dull. Dull Dulcie from Dullsville

MerryMarigold · 31/08/2008 12:46

I hate it. My great grandmother was Dulcie and even so I wouldn't dream of using it.

It doesn't sound pretty at all even though the meaning is a bit sickly. Just trying to be a bit too 'I'm having a trendy old fashioned name, but not one that many other people have." Nahhhh

zippitippitoes · 31/08/2008 12:41

no too agatha christie maidservant

raindropsonroses · 31/08/2008 12:32

Twee and sickly sweet.

Problems with teasing because of the only obvious nickname Dull

suedonim · 31/08/2008 12:12

It's cute and I think will 'age' well.

I saw a middle-aged Willow in the paper recently and although I love that name for a child it really didn't suit the older woman.

cyteen · 31/08/2008 11:56

Not my bag.

AnnaCliff · 31/08/2008 11:54

I hate the sound of this name. It sounds very sulky.
