Oh yes, that's who I mean. I knew Mark James wasn't quite right.

He has a daughter? I'd love to know what she's called!

Anybody????????

Mark James' son is Geronimo. The other is Galileo. I like those names.

Clary · 01/09/2008 14:12

Yeah there was a thread before from someone who called their son Geronimo. Ronnie for short.

NotAnOtter · 01/09/2008 11:14

trevor and pearl great!

frazzledoldbag34 · 01/09/2008 10:27

LOL at Geronimo. That's fabulous!
But really, please tell me that's not actually someone's name?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 01/09/2008 10:11

The world will end in 2011 so it's all fuss over nothing really. Call em what you like.

Pinkglow · 01/09/2008 10:09

My mum went to school with a Sky back in the 60s/70s she said at the time EVERYONE thought it was a really odd name and the parents used to call it 'silly'

now of course someone called Sky would not cause any eyelids to batter - whats silly now wont be in 40 years time (apart from Apple)

well TBH I would really go for that spelling either, if I'm being honest...

NotAnOtter · 31/08/2008 22:51

my cats were Kofi and Genghis FAB names

current cat Bernard!

tortoiseshell · 31/08/2008 22:49

Isn't Geronimo the English version of Hieronymus?

Clary · 31/08/2008 22:48

MB lol at yr last post.

I agree, Maverick and Geronimo are, ahem, unusual....

Blandmum · 31/08/2008 22:27

My cat was Tibby. Tibby would be a stupid name for a car. My car is called Zorba

tortoiseshell · 31/08/2008 22:24

I think there is a culture now of trying to think of a name nobody else has. Which leads to these crazy name suggestions. When I was little (back in the old days...), people went for the 'Louise' 'Sarah' 'Jane' 'Helen' type names without worrying that they were popular.

Whereas now, people seem to prefer to make up their own names rather than risk having a child in the same class with the same name!!!

southeastastra · 31/08/2008 22:20

i dunno frazzled i come across some weird names and imagine the children as grown ups with that name.

Blandmum · 31/08/2008 22:17

LOL at your dog being Maverick.

My car was Tibby, but I wouldn't choose that for a name for my dd

Blandmum · 31/08/2008 22:16

ahem. I met one of the American fighter pilots who were involved with the filming, and only one of the stars of the film didn't go up for a trip. Wanna guess which one???

the Geronimo thread also made me draw breath

Anchovy · 31/08/2008 22:12

My goddaughter's mate at school is called Maverick. I'm quite prepared to stick my head above the parapet and say that is a "silly" name that I don't think is going to look any better when the questionable idea of calling a child a name from a faintly crap film is forgotten.

frazzledoldbag34 · 31/08/2008 22:11

southeastastra - I'm just curious............
