I know a few who are 5 or so, so i would hink it was 'done' now iyswim

Heated · 30/08/2008 21:37

It's better than Hurley or Burley, might get 'corrected' to Harvey but Harley's okay. Makes me think of overcharging doctors

dinny · 30/08/2008 21:36

ds's friend is Harley - he is lovely, I think it's really sweet

hw2004 · 30/08/2008 21:36

I really, really dislike it

SammyK · 30/08/2008 21:35

I know a girl called Harley - she is lovely and name suits her. Her dad is into bikes.

I also know a dog named Harley (the eat your toddler breed), whose owner is into bikes.

I do like the name tho.

My cat is called Harley.

I think it's a lovely name.

For a cat.

lilolilmanchester · 30/08/2008 21:33

I would have said no, except know a Harley who is gorgeous and really cool. Most little boys would love to be like him. If the parents of the baby really like the name, they should go for it. People will accept it once the baby is here but I don't think they'll get a huge amount of support for that name before the birth.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 30/08/2008 21:33

It does make me think of motorbikes too...

JackieNo · 30/08/2008 21:33

I quite like it. Makes me think of Steve Harley .

ThatBigGermanPrison · 30/08/2008 21:33

And I am usually a Stoic, if-your-name's-not-in-the bible-or-the-FT-you-ain't-coming-in type too.

sweetkitty · 30/08/2008 21:32

Sorry don't like it don't know why not my cup of tea.

Agree you would get idiots people saying "oh is your second name Davidson then?" and thinking they are really funny and the first person to think of it

ThatBigGermanPrison · 30/08/2008 21:32

there is a child in dc's class with that name, he's a nice child, and it honestly suits him.

TotalChaos · 30/08/2008 21:31

not to my personal taste, but I reckon it's OK.

fryalot · 30/08/2008 21:31

I really, really want to dislike it.

But secretly, I really, really like it

pgwithnumber3 · 30/08/2008 21:31
