Just asked DD what she would go with were I to have another and she informed me that it would be Luke for a boy and... baby world for a girl "because you are always on baby world looking at that stuff" (pointing to MN )

My eldest dd named her sibling, and both my dc named their step sibling.

My ex wanted to call the baby Sarah then I found out he was having an affair with a Sarah So obviously didn't want his imput on names...

Alderney · 05/09/2008 13:12

Anything and everything would be called Super-Kitten...

ChasingSquirrels · 04/09/2008 20:35

ds1 DID name ds2 - well he didn't have his first choice Woof, or his 2nd choice ds1's name - but they were earlier on in my pg. for the last few months he kept suggesting ds2's name, and in the end we went with it.

genghisthecat · 04/09/2008 20:32

Some great names here! My dad wanted his younger brother to be called either Nimrod or Moses. My Gran didn't go with it which is a shame - Uncle Nimrod would have been distinctive.

While we snigger at their cute suggestions though have you looked at what we're all calling ourselves?

livismum · 03/09/2008 14:37

Hey this post is really making me feel better! i'm 12 weeks and suffering with both hayfever and ms today! Haven't told DD bout pg yet waiting till scan next week, she is 3 1/2 and has a way to active imagination, her toys are all named things like

i was meant to be Bethany but my brother (who DID NOT WANT A GIRL) saw me and told my parents I was to be called Jessica.

Guess what, im called Jessica!

thelittlestboho · 31/08/2008 12:57

My dd2 gave dd3 middle name of Echo, after Greek mythological name. It's spot on, regardless of other people's perceptions.

justgotbfp · 31/08/2008 10:18

ds has not yet been told about no. 2 as is early days but we have two very close friends due in October so he has been talking about "his" baby coming for several months now and that it will be a boy call Eggwood. Will not be putting this on our shortlist.

petitmaman · 29/08/2008 21:01

Dd1 wanted to call dd2 tesco or steering wheel.
funnily enough we went with something else...

Anna8888 · 29/08/2008 20:40

Polly (like Angelina Ballerina's baby sister). Not yet conceived btw.

I di hear of a friends DC who wanted to call the new baby computer.

bumpybecky · 29/08/2008 10:03

according to dd1 and dd2, dd3 was going to be Twinkle

2point4kids · 29/08/2008 08:51

DS1 wanted me to call DS2 Barney.
He was obsessed by the big purple dinosaur at the time.

FourArms · 29/08/2008 08:47

DS1 wanted to call DS2 Thomas the Tank Engine. We were planning to call him Thomas and were trying to get him used to it prior to the birth. As DS1 got so hung up on calling him TTE rather than just Thomas, we changed that to his middle name. When asked what DS2's long name is, he still says TTE in the middle!

stripeymama · 29/08/2008 08:31

eachpeachpearmum - we are back, thanks for asking. Tired (me) and still somewhat muddy (dd)! Travels very very wonderful indeed and I'm looking for part time work so I can afford to learn to drive and get a living vehicle next year!

muminthecity · 28/08/2008 21:39

I only have 1 dd and not planning anymore, but almost all of dd's dolls and teddies are called 'Bellybutton' so I could take a guess at what her suggestion would be....

My uncle was allowed to choose my dad's middle name - he chose Clive

My dad was then allowed to choose his younger brother's middle name. He chose Preston!

Cocodrillo · 28/08/2008 21:11

i am expecting no 3. Dd1 (4) wants to call the new baby Leaf Pie.

Dunno why.

Ceolas · 28/08/2008 21:09

DD1 wanted to name DS 'Moses'.

DD3 however would have been 'Shrek' if DS had his way!

Mummyfor3 · 28/08/2008 21:09

Suggestions by DS 1+2 were:

Trolley
Underpants - in line with the general toilet humour thing they had have going on.
Jack

Just for the record: none of the above were chosen.
