We've chosen the middle name of Denise - his granddad's name was Denis and it's a name that recurs through the family.

He wants to give the first name of Nerys (said like Denise, but with an N).

Nerys Denise? He can't see the problem, said it rolls off the tongue! Someone help me make him see sense!

Nerys is Welsh (and Bajoran, I just suggested Kira Denise instead but he wasn't impressed)

I do like both names, Nerys was on our first list with Tink, but not together.

No that's not going to work - you are right. He is wrong!

I wouldn;t expect Nerys and Denise to rhyme tbh - I think of Nerys pronounced nare-ris and Denise as de-nees. but eithre way it's completely daft. you are so right

I like Denise and Nerys, maybe i like Nerys a little more.. but i don't know about together sorry!

gemmiegoatlegs · 11/08/2008 20:54

no no no. it sounds like dennis pennis!

DorrisMcWhirter · 11/08/2008 20:54

too many sssssss I think. Pity as both names are lovely, but together I just don't think they go. I also think (IMO) that names with the same amount of syllables never sound right together.

CompletelyDotty · 11/08/2008 20:53

it's unique! i have never heard of that name before!! do you like it??

missblythe · 11/08/2008 20:53

No! That is ridiculous!

Sounds like Denis Penis

TinkerBellesMum · 11/08/2008 20:53

(said like Denise, but with an N)
