henry / henrietta (doesn't go with surname). Raven for DD1 - really glad we didn't - woud have been so embarrassing!

jeanjeannie · 06/08/2008 13:30

Toyed with Krista & Honor for both DD1 & 2

Haven't got boys but would have been either Ivan, Alex or Fraser

DS1 got the name that was coming to him; both DDs were going to be Margaret Clare, but the name fit neither; DD3 was to be Verity Rose or Honor Elisabeth, but turned out to be- DS 2, who, for the past 7 years, was supposed to be Peter Francis, but is looking more and more like an Edmund Gregory/Edmund James/Edmund Hugh. I guess we'll know for sure by January

belcantavinissima · 05/08/2008 12:17

oh also toyed with kitty for dd

Dragonbutter · 05/08/2008 12:17

yes, DH felt that our children shouldn't be named after fictional characeters I've got a crush on.
don't see why not???

berolina · 05/08/2008 12:17

ds1 would have been Alexander - which I felt was OK but not mad about - if we had not hit on his name. ds2 was nearly Leo.

If I had had girls, ds1 would have been Sophia and ds2 Helena.

Dragonbutter · 05/08/2008 12:13

DS1 was nearly River
DS2 was nearly Sawyer

2point4kids · 05/08/2008 12:11

DS1 was nearly Max
DS2 was nearly Leo or Dexter

I really really wanted to call ds2 Indiana but didnt have the guts

Hatrick Did you have your baby already?
Congratulations!
I remember thinking how lovely your girls names are on previous threads. What did you call your ds in the end??

popsycal · 05/08/2008 12:05

DS1 was also nearly Joe

popsycal · 05/08/2008 12:05

ds1 would have been Rosie I rthinki - but I just knew he would be a boy
ds2 would have been martha
ds3 (currently still in tummy) would have been Molly I think

MmeLindt · 05/08/2008 12:03

I thought about Briana for DD

Glad we did not go for it though.

DS did not have a name until 3 days before the birth. Up till then we were thinking perhaps Gordon. Lucky escape there, he is absolutely not a Gordon

purlease · 05/08/2008 12:01

if DD had been a DS, he would have been Arthur. Told people after DD was born and got mixed reactions - I still like it.

reallyannoyednow · 05/08/2008 12:00

if my little dd was a ds, we (okay I) had picked Blaise. I still like it but it is weird!

LaDiDaDi · 05/08/2008 11:58

Lorna (fine)
Eliza (still like)
Edie (ok)
Aurora (hate now)
Velvet (what was I thinking!!!!)

If dd had been a ds...

Archie (I still like it dp doesn't)

cadelaide · 05/08/2008 11:53

Yes belgo, now I'm starting to remember why I liked it!

gladders · 05/08/2008 10:06

ds would have been sophie (still like it but wouldn't use as too many near us...) - when we knew he was a boy i wanted to call him charlie but dh thought everyone would just think about the drug connection

dd would have been george (love it ,love it - almost want another just to use the name!) - when we found it she was a girl we really struggled. i liked laura and dh liked alice. we ended up with something completely different after days of deliberation and now LOVE her name!

Walkthedinosaur · 05/08/2008 09:33

DS2 was going to be Ethan until a week before he was born, then it was Noah which I still really like but DH didnt, so he got a different name which does actually suit him.

belgo · 05/08/2008 09:30

Caladaide - I know a frnech Adelaide. Sounds lovely with a french accent. Very old name.

Ineedsomesleep · 05/08/2008 09:28

DD would have been Emerson if she had been a DS. She also dodged Augustine, Juliet, Violet and Minni & Mimi!

DS would have been Jasmine or Daisy.

cadelaide · 05/08/2008 09:18

Oh I do like your names bel
