What is the most unusual name you've come across recently?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
KnitterInTheNW · 03/08/2008 20:59

When I was on the post labour ward after having DS, a baby boy arrived, called Hendrix.

hw2004 · 03/08/2008 20:54

L'oreal for a girl (I work on neonatal unit so see a fair few horrors!!)

Roboshua · 03/08/2008 20:53

I've heard of Acon (apparently that's after a rapper I just thought someone had missed an 'r' out!!)

Heard someone shouting in Big W today 'Keno' which I thought was some sort of card game.

However I do call my DS2 Bobbin as a pet name and I've got some funny looks when people obviously assume it's his real name.

Shoshe · 03/08/2008 20:48

DD was Chynna Skye! We did debate Chynna Blue

gingerninja · 03/08/2008 20:29

My friend teaches a child who has a child called TuPac after the rapper.

Roboshua · 03/08/2008 20:28

China-Blue which made me automatically think of a porn star due to Kathleen Turner in some film I can't remember where she plays a protstitute called China-Blue.

katiepotatie · 03/08/2008 20:27

mrz · 03/08/2008 20:12

We have a boy and girl both called Devon. One of our current children has a little sister who's middle name is Bunny (because of her ears according to dad)

MarkStretch · 03/08/2008 19:49

Katisha · 03/08/2008 19:47

I'm just reading Ben Elton's 1984-type satire Blind Faith set in a world where it's frowned upon to give your child a "normal" name. So they are called Happymeal, Princess Lovebud and Barbieheart etc.

Not so far from real life quite often...

PuppyMonkey · 03/08/2008 19:46
