What is the most unusual name you've come across recently?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MadBadandDangeroustoKnow · 20/08/2008 22:52

I knew a Phelps, but wonder if it's usual in the us?

PrincessDiane (NOT to be shortened) and he brother Psalm*
Also Tallula-Bluebell, Darling Dot and Tiger Tim (who goes by his middle name, Bert!)

pinktree · 20/08/2008 21:24

I was a teaching assistant for a while at private school there I met a 'Box' and a 'Scooter' both brothers. Their Dad owned a record company. They were gorgeous though so perhaps they'll pull it off!

Ooooh derelicte, would you spill your ds's name again?
I know if Hatrick loved it I would too.

Hatrick is queen of great names IMO

BlueberryPancake · 20/08/2008 20:23

I girl I went to school with a girl called Friday Baily. She was from Canada. I know two little sisters called Cedar and Juniper.

derelicte · 20/08/2008 19:31

hatrick - there was indeed a big thread about it. I received a sound drubbing from many a MNer on it, and have always remembered you for your support in the face of adversity

G2B - the name is unusual enough to out me in RL to any friends/acquaintances on here, but if you're really committed to sleuthing, you could probably cross-reference the names on here with old baby name threads (That'll sort the wheat from the chaff).

chelseamorning · 20/08/2008 19:30

Ptolemy (boy)
Rogue (girl)

lojoesmammy · 20/08/2008 18:38

I know an Asher too and she is 22.

FattipuffsandThinnifers · 20/08/2008 18:28

Neolara - just seen your post from hours ago. Not sure if you're still reading this thread, but what a small world!!! Can't be many other siblings with those particular names, must be the same ones. I actually knew Boudicca and not her brother. Are you from 'round there' then?

Mayakovskyandme · 20/08/2008 17:45

Thiago

emj23 · 20/08/2008 17:43

Armani, Versace, Zennell, and Somer. Also Tyler Tyler, not that unusual a name but first and last name the same.

Shoshe · 20/08/2008 17:35

Squarebear1973 I went down the same route with DD in 1991

Wanted Skye-Blu, ended up with Chynna-Skye, some of us LOVE unusual names.

GColdtimer · 20/08/2008 17:31

Eilatan · 20/08/2008 17:28

If you like collecting silly kid names, I can renccommend no better than the birthday club (are you one, are you two? etc) on CBeebies...
