Aubrey is a boys/mans name - my old manager was an Aubrey - and he was a lovely man.

Although even approaching retirement he still got really ticked off when people confusd it with 'Audrey'

Aubrey is a family name of ours and I think its lovely.
It was on my shortlist as a mn for my dd2.

Twinkie1 · 27/07/2008 10:36

It is a boys name - mind you I bet he gets beaten up at school by the cool kids for having such a twatty (poofy!) name!

Raahh · 27/07/2008 10:35

Aubrey cartoon

funny the things you remember....

MrsJamin · 27/07/2008 09:34

Don't like it at all, I picture an aging theatre foppish camp man.

bigknickersbigknockers · 27/07/2008 09:29

I had a big, fat grumpy (male) cat called Aubrey. Sorry but i wouldn't use the name on a child, male or female. It's ok for a grumpy old cat though

Sparkletastic · 27/07/2008 09:26

Boy and poofy - to use very un-PC term

FabioThatFirggingCat · 27/07/2008 09:25

Aubrey - boy
Audrey - girl

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/07/2008 09:24

ScummyMummy · 27/07/2008 09:24

BellaBunting · 27/07/2008 09:24

Well a friend's dad was called Aubrey BUT the Bread song goes, 'and Aubrey was her name'

Perhaps it is a unisex name, hmm.
