Larch ??

Comerscroft · 10/07/2008 17:54

I have a cousin named Larch (her mother was a bit bats).

Larch has a daughter whom she named Willow, (which is more reasonable, I think).

Willow has just had a little girl and is determined to continue the tree theme with a selection of Ebony, Maple, Linden or Poplar.

My suggestions of Cherry, Hazel, Laurel and Apple were dismissed out of hand.

Any suggestions?

Definitely Rowan. Or Robinia - Robin for short?

Acacia.

Alder, Camellia, Juniper, Cypress, Mimosa...

Actually, what's wrong with the names she's chosen? It's her baby, not yours

Am Stumped......

Rowan or Holly.

Failing that, tell her that those names are all a bit passe these days and that she should go for something a little less bourgeois such as Oak, Chestnut, Plane, Pine, Conifer or Dutch Elm.

Larch is divine
Poplar sounds sweet but would get Poppy
Maple is lovely

I think they are all lush but am a frustrated hippy

What a family tree

UnquietDad · 10/07/2008 17:56

I would say, but you'd only get Sycamore suggestions.

Blossom?
