lots of both here of 4 - 9 age group, no contact with littler so don't know how popular they are at the mo.

prefer Indiana actually, thinking about it... still shorten to Indie...

I prefer India just for its comparative rarity. Amber was really overused for a while. I do love it for girls with red hair though.

India is too pretentious. Have you spent time in India?

Amber reminds me of a beautiful stone. I think it was a lot MORE popular in the US than it ever was here, so it is considered a little 80s in the US, but I still much, much prefer it to India, which is awful, sorry.

Both fairly popular round here, I like both. I would choose Amber myself, but ds1 has a lovely friend called Amber who may have influenced me.

Amber is very popular here & not one of them fits a stereotype (chav or other).
India is nice, too, although I've only heard of it as in India Knight & I'm not a big fan of hers.

I like India, A friend of a friend is called Indiana and they call her Indie for short, I think it's lovely.
