A bit twee and prim.

I think it's so pretty. And it's one of those names where you'll always know 1 or 2 of all ages but never lots of any age.

I know one who is always Felicity (which would be my prefence), one who is Flick and 2 who are Fizzy which I actually think is really cute (though one is in here 40s!)

And it's one of those names where you'll always know 1 or 2 of all ages but never lots of any age.

Actually I think just now there are a lot about under 5! But I still like it.

Really cute! I was at a soft play recently and there was a big sister and little sister (maybe under 2? Walking very well but no talking) and the big sister was dragging her around and calling her by every diminutive under the sun:

”Come on Fliss,”
”This way Flick”
”Lissie, I’m up here”
”Let’s go Flissie”

I can’t remember them all but it was super cute. And obviously, Felicity is a beautiful name for formalities.

bridgetreilly · 15/10/2026 23:38

One of my favourite names.

DD has a friend called Felicity. She’s known as Fish. Try to avoid that one!

I know a Flickety but I rather like it!

Dinglebellsarecoming · 15/10/2026 22:47

Name changed as def too identifying. I am a Felicity. Hated it in my early teens when no one had unusual names where I grew up. I grew into it tho and felt it suited me. I'm retired now but when I worked it gave me a sense of gravitas and helped me mix with posh folk I worked with. I've only every met one Felicity

TV show. She cut her hair.

I loved the TV show. Would love to re-watch but it's not currently available to stream in the UK 😭

ItsABatFaceThing · 15/10/2026 16:41

Not a fan tbh

bzarda · 15/10/2026 16:30

I teach a Felicity (everyone calls her Fliss) and she is a genuinely lovely girl - she's 17, I think it's a timeless name

Sparklinggreen · 15/10/2026 16:17

I like it but I know a Flick and I’m not a fan of this nn or Fliss

Rocknrollstar · 15/10/2026 07:16

My fried was always called Flea

ChocolateCinderToffee · 14/10/2026 23:46

Love it: classy and classic.

YorkshireIndie · 14/10/2026 11:50

My 3yr old is felicity and she gets called Flossie, Flissy, Fliss Floss.

NamingNoNames · 14/10/2026 11:16

@GoodLordMother ,I know one and she's fine but her sister has a similar jolly hockeysticks/pony club name but their brother's name is one of those that would have split votes of public school/chav on here.

GoodLordMother · 14/10/2026 11:06

It makes me screw my nose up at it when I hear it (I wouldn't to a Felicity's face or the mother of a Felicity, obviously!

Definitely a boarding school, pony club, chalet girl bitchy vibe to it for me! Sorry!

I lived in halls with a pony loving one who was nasty to my friend, so my opinion mostly comes from that!

NamingNoNames · 14/10/2026 10:15

You can't call a child Dimity. You might as well call her Fustian or Duck.

user1492757084 · 14/10/2026 00:23

Felicity is nice.

Reminds me of Prudence, Amity and Joyce.
Others ..
Clarissa
Trinity
Dimity
Alice
Clemency
Mercy
Philomena

LivingTheDreamish · 14/10/2026 00:14

I do like it but as with all the virtue names there is the underlying niggle that you are putting a burden on your child to always present themselves as happy to match their name. Ditto Patience, Hope, Joy etc.

SequinsandSlippers · 14/10/2026 00:02

Felicity Wishes
Book about a fairy

I like Fliss
Flick makes me think of the Aussie character
Lissy/City...nope

Francesca?
nn Cesca (although most opt for Fran)

ilovepixie · 13/10/2026 23:55

It’s very Chalet School.

Soozikinzii · 13/10/2026 23:55
