What’s your thoughts?

Only it's been used since way back - eg Saint Theodora was a Byzantine empress, and the name means gift of God, so to me works more intuitively together than split. And there is also Theodore ... which doesn't sound slammed together.

Anyway, I'm not going to turn myself inside out defending it. I quite like it, but it isn't a great favourite of mine.

Nobody asked you to defend it, just sharing my own opinion, just as you did to the poster you quoted. Theodore doesn’t sound slammed together as it’s one name, Theodora sounds like Thea and Dora. To me that is, all opinions are welcome on baby naming threads

Yes, of course.

It was just a throwaway comment to say I like it, but don't love it.

The two names seem to come from very different schools of naming. I like Theodora, but don’t care for Lainey.

I agree

I like Thea but not Theodora. I don't like Lainey at all though.

What’s your husband’s other grandmother called? Because Lainey really does sound weird as a middle name.
