How many Lila/Lyla/Lilah and even Delilah girls do you know? I wonder, especially with combined spellings, how common it really is?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

4 in my child’s primary school (very small). And many more in my teens secondary. I’m always surprised at some of these names

Lilas? (No apostrophe for plurals.) I don't know any.

wishfulthinking25 · 29/09/2026 16:58

I know a Lila pronounced ‘lill-a’, a Lila pronounced ‘leela’ and about 7 Lila’s pronounced ‘ly-la’

seahorsessky · 29/09/2026 16:55

A few in primary (maybe about 8?) of the first. No Delilahs, but then I haven't met any in real life (or Jezebels!).
A few older Laylas, nearer my age, maybe because of the song?
I very much doubt anyone would pick the Delilah name for the song, but I guess it's better than for the story!

maggisimpson · 29/09/2026 16:52

I also know a Laya, Layla and two Lyras 😂

Mumofgirls2017 · 29/09/2026 16:40
