Thoughts on the baby name Maeva for our second daughter

Hi everyone, we are expecting our second daughter in January and i am pretty set on the name Maeva for her.
I appreciate the name is fairly unique so I just wanted to get some opinions on the name before we make the final decision.
For context, our eldest daughter’s name is Camille nn Cami. We are not french, our love for the names is a happy accident.

I love the name and have seen its set to be one of the names to most grow in popularity this year

It was recently on a list of the fastest growing names in popularity so I don't think it will be unique. But as long as that doesnt bother you then if you like it, why not!

Why not Maeve out of interest? Maeve is a traditional Irish name (a genuine one, not invented by baby name websites). It’s become quite popular in recent years.

OTOH, Maeva I’ve never heard of.

I've never heard of Maeva - is it a French name? Maeve is a fairly common Irish name. In Ireland people would probably automatically write "Maeve" instead of "Maeva" but as with other names, they'd learn eventually.

Daughter or a friend just called her baby Mavie.

I do like Maeve, but prefer Maeva. It has a girlier feel to me and is a little more unique.

I've only seen this name pop up in the last couple of years so I suspect it might end up being a bit faddy. Like Wren. Or Luna. No famous Maevas born earlier than 1987 (according to Wikipedia) so is it a real French name or a French-ish name?

I don’t think it’s unique or unusual at all. I love it, but I just wouldn’t describe it as unique!

I think Maeva lovely and nicer than Maeve, which sounds as it it's short for Mavis!
Miss France 2018 was Maeva Coucke, a very glamorous redhead who has gone on to have a halfway decent career in tv.

I prefer it to Maeve. I only heard the name recently but it was in an article about the names that are rapidly rising in popularity so probably not going to be that unique. Wouldn’t put me off a name I like though.

My first thought was they've bastardized the name Maeve. This is becoming quite common with Irish names.

It's a no from me OP. It's along the same lines as Nevaeh.
