Help deciding baby girl name

Twyla is awful.
Mae is a filler middle name and the spelling May is a lot better, but it is so common and nothingy.
Not keen on Liora - seems like you were hoping for a little Leo.

Lucy - like a lot
Miriam - like but a bit prim-sounding. Miriam Mae is basically Mary Mary.
Penelope- nice but will be shortened
Ophelia - too long, tragic, 'I feel ya'
Melody - No, naff. Melody Mae is dreadful.
Cadence - No, too technical-sounding
Violet - ok, a bit 'shrinking'
Daisy - ok but quite boring. Daisy Mae sounds like a cow's name
Annabelle - a bit too frilly but ok

Liora is nice but I would instantly assume Jewish. Twyla is unusual - I think it's a great choice.

Your list is more girly and your husband's more classic.

Loads of regular names are Jewish. Jude literally means Jew in German. If any name was going to offend surely it would be that one.

All the popular biblical are Hebrew originally.

Sorry but personally I think Twyla sounds a bit ridiculous and too try-hard. Liora has a nice ring to it. I didn’t even know it was Jewish, I don’t know if that’s just me or if most people wouldn’t know though. Regardless though, I don’t think it would be offensive, but I wouldn’t want to give my child a name that would regularly make people mentally put her into a category of a religion she’s not

I like Twyla very much. I also like Liora, but think L names are very popular at the moment and might sound bit samey if she ends in class with many L-name wearing girls. I don't like Twyla Mae though - although I like Twyla whole combo makes it a bit trendy
