Cleo on the rise?

Do you think Cleo is going to become incredibly popular? It's out of the top 100 at the moment I think but I've seen/heard of quite a few baby girls being called it in the last few months... wonder if it's going to date? Any anecdotal evidence appreciated!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Lovely name. We have one in the family. Such a cool, pretty name.

yonem · 06/09/2026 14:08

It’s lovely. Was on my list for a girl. I do know one born recently but I don’t think it will become over-popular, probably more mid-range like Phoebe?

100% on the rise

Listen to cleo sol if you havent already - lovely singer and lovely name x

faerylune · 06/09/2026 14:22

in which country are you? There's plenty of us around the globe.

This is a fun website for checking trends (in the UK): https://names.darkgreener.com/#cleo

It’s risen pretty dramatically but still not overly popular. Personally I don’t think it’ll crack top 50, but who knows - look at Luna.

Lovely name anyway :)

I really like the name Cleo. It has such a nice vibe about it. It's a lovely name but I do think it'll become popular and trendy. It has that trendy vibe about it.

Every1ElseInKnowsley · 06/09/2026 14:47

There's some reason why Luna is so popular. Is it a film character or something?
Four letter L names are very popular right now.
I know a Cleo but she's in her 20s.

TrojanDonkey · 06/09/2026 19:14

I really like it.

I work with children and haven’t met one yet.

I know of a baby born recently (in Spain) and a 3 year old. I don’t think it’s very popular though. Perhaps growing in popularity but not majorly so.

Aaloyisha · 06/09/2026 21:22

I really like it. I do know a few, but some are Clio or Cleopatra (really!) officially which will push Cleo itself down the rankings.

Mumofgirls2017 · 06/09/2026 21:46

I think popularity is increasing but can’t say how popular it will get. Sorry! It’s a nice name though and much prefer to have a name ahead of the curve than behind!

Mumofgirls2017 · 06/09/2026 21:47

I only know one and she’s in her 30s (maybe 40s)

Firebird83 · Yesterday 17:22

Definitely on the rise. Two at my DD’s nursery.

Cleo is nice but it has been in use for 20 years and not reached top ten.
Chloe might be due a come back.
Claire maybe too, and Cate?

savemysleep · Yesterday 20:10

Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter. She’s the quirkiest girl character. Also the meaning is nice and fits with the nature names trend. And a nice alternative to Lucy.

I know a Cleo but she's in her 30s now, not a name I've come across with younger ones
