I love the name, but DP isn't sure. I think Merry is cute for a girl while Meredith is more grown up, and good for stern telling off's .

yes or no?

ps. My RL name is common as muck and it drives me mad so I am trying to find less common names for my DC's.

oooh, this thread is going in my favour so far. DP thinks it's too unusual, but isn't against it so maybe we will go with it.

I will tell him 'Mumsnet like it - so there ((((blows raspberrys))))'.

You've been watching too much Grays Anatomy! I like it. It's sweet.

I like it, and would be happy to have that name as an adult. Often names are chosen for babies/little ones rather than grown ups but I really like Meredith. DH didn't, which is why DD doesn't have that name!

Kbear · 27/06/2008 21:39

I love it. Not Merry though, just Meredith.

MingMingtheWonderPet · 27/06/2008 21:38

I like it too.

We have to resort to using DD's middle name when we tell her off, as her first name os just not strict enough. Merry / Meredith sorts that out!
