I'm looking for girl names that were common between the 1960s and 1990s that I may not have considered yet. An example would be names like Joanna and Stephanie. Majority of the modern popular names just don't do it for me. I want a name that feels familiar. A name where I have actually met an adult woman called that.

Alison, Deborah, Claire, Louise, Sarah, Jennifer, Julie Suzanne, Caroline, Helen, Catherine, Melanie?

Rebecca, Rachel, Laura, Natasha, Emma?

I think those are all really nice but a lot of people will just shout them down as 'dated'. With the possible exception of Emma which still seems to be fairly popular.
