Which girls name

We have a little girl due next month and cant decide on a name. We have a little boy called Woody, we knew he was a Woody all the way through our pregnancy.

We have settled down to Evianna or Juniper, Juniper isn't very popular where we are and I've never met one although I do know the name is very popular elsewhere.

Or any other suggestions for a girl that goes with Woody

Juniper
Polly

Indigo
Bridget
Aster
Margaret - Maggie
Annabel

Juniper is lovely. Junie as an abbreviation is very pretty ( you must buy the US children’s book series featuring Junie B Jones - hilarious).

Astrid is another name I think is pretty. Brianna and Briony (Briar) are in a similar ballpark.

PrettyLittleRose · 03/08/2026 21:11

Has to be Evie. Evianna is awful, and JUNIPER?! Gawd, don't do that to your little girl @Roxyroxroxrox 😬

TheBayHorse · 03/08/2026 21:08

Juniper is trying too hard to be cool IMO. I like Junie as a nickname and would just go with that.

Evianna is fussy. Anna or Eve are nicer.

HugoThatway · 03/08/2026 20:46

Well spotted, @Jamjam12 !

fgk12 · 03/08/2026 19:02

Evianna sounds made up and twee.

Juniper is nice but trendy.

Woody and… Piper / Elowen / Cleo / Sunny / Romy ?

Woody and Jessie? What are they - antique rag dolls?

Show quote history

Toy Story legends 🤣

Evianna looks like you named her after a bottle of water and Juniper sounds like a pet rabbit.

Jessica is really nice and goes well with Woody.

Woody and Jessie? What are they - antique rag dolls?

HugoThatway · 02/08/2026 19:37

That's your opinion. Baby names offers more than a book or app could ever do.
A book won't be honest with you or say something like 'sounds like bottled water' or 'she'll be another Evie'.

Jamjam12 · 02/08/2026 17:41

All the names suggested on here are horrendous in my opinion.
there are plenty of names books and apps out there

IAmARayOfSunshine · 02/08/2026 02:32

Evianna will just end up being yet another Evie in the endless sea of Evie’s. I only know one Juniper.

BognorRegenia · 01/08/2026 21:57

Juniper is such a good match with Woody. Just perfect!

Evianna has too many pronunciations / spellings and would be a pain imo

timoteigirl · 01/08/2026 21:33

I feel that Juniper and Woody don't match because Woody is any wood whereas Juniper would be a specific species, if you get what I mean.

Evianna is too close to Evian brand to my personal taste.

What about Hazel, it is less tree species or wood yet matches?
Birdie - generic like wood? River or Brook(e)?

Other nature names Moss, Sage, Sorrel, Clover, Flora or Petal or Blossom (again matching in how generic it is)

ladygindiva · 01/08/2026 21:14

I really like Juniper. We know a young one who is nicknamed Juni which I think is really cute.

Asmileisworthathousandwords · 01/08/2026 21:12

I love Juniper.
It reminds me of the song Jennifer Juniper.
I wouldn't suggest Jennifer though as it's nothing like Juniper. I think people are just suggesting that because of the song but they give off totally different vibes. (I'm a Jennifer). I much prefer Juniper.

Strawberrryfields · 01/08/2026 20:33

Woody and Juni adorable sibling set

Asunciondelaflata · 01/08/2026 20:10

Juniper and a water brand ... gin and tonic vibes.

How about Sapphire Blue?

Isn't that a gin?

Bakeittillyoumakeit · 01/08/2026 20:03

Definitely Juniper.

Or to go with Woody - Jessie.

Silverbirchleaf · 01/08/2026 19:36

I prefer Juniper out of the two.

Suggestions-
Jasmine
Jennifer
Genevieve
Evie
Pollyanna
Evelyn

Excellentsausages · 01/08/2026 19:33

Juniper is nice but with Woody it does sound like there is a bit of a tree theme? It's definitely my favourite of the two though.

Happymchappyface · 01/08/2026 19:24

You’re down to 2 so now wait until she’s here. One might just fit her better.

sweatybettytoday · 01/08/2026 19:22

I’ve heard lots of junipers around here, usually toddlers wearing frugi

PancakeCloud · 01/08/2026 18:35

Juniper is fabulous, lovely nicknames June and Juni too

LinnetsWing · 01/08/2026 18:32

Any1ForTennis · 01/08/2026 17:53

Sorry OP,

Not keen in Evianna too similar to bottled water, basically giving off Buxton and Volvic vibes.

Not keen in Juniper either, its a dried up wrinkly berry not a lifelong name for a lady.

Anything else on the list?

Yes, this. Keep looking.
