What are you opinions on:
Eleanor, Alora, Eliza, Alaya, Alana, Remi ,and Alexis
What are some other options?

I like Eleanor, and like a PP, Leonora. I've met girls called Anaya and Avaya, which might fit in with some of the ones on your longer list.

We have an Eleanor and she has never gotten Ellie, not even at secondary school ( she's 30 now).
She does get Elle though.
I love Eliza too.
Not keen on the others.

Eleanor - pretty but not a huge fan of Ellie. I lile Ella and Noor / Nora though. Prefer Eleanora

Alora - not a fan

Eliza - pretty but i prefer Elizabeth. I know quite a few Eliza's
Alaya - i'd never heard of this until my daughter started school a few years ago and she had 2 in her class. 1 Alaya and 1 Alaia. I prefer the spelling Alaia
Alana - not a fan
Remi - i know two boy Remy's see it as morr masculine. Generally not a fan of names ending in an i
Alexis - i like this. My favourite on your list

Eleanor - beautiful classic name. Very popular with all the Ellies though. Dislike the pronunciation where the ending is said as 'or' though.
Alora - very samey with Alara, Lara, Laura, Orla etc.
Eliza - my least favourite name. Dislike the sound immensely.
Alaya - very samey with Leia, Alara, Freya, Laila, Ayla etc
Alana - I loved the Tortall books as a child so have a soft spot for Alanna.
Remi - trendy for both girls and boys at the moment. It's fine.
Alexis - not a fan. Alexandra is fine though.

I'd go Eleanor of your options.

Don’t like Alora, Alaya or Alana, and Alexa obviously has the ‘Ask Alexa’ connotations.

Eliza my favourite from your list.

Alora - the town or sounds like a name of a product
Eliza - I personally don't like, to me it is chirpy like Pollyanna
Alaya - is this missing an -h from the end?
Alana - I don't like this, as if named after a man. Prefer Lana or even better Lara or Tara
Remi and Alexis - no thanks

Alaya but I think a different spelling… potentially Alaiyah (not to be confused with Aaliyah)
alexis I love but fear it’ll get shortened to Alex which I dislike but lex or Lexi is cute.
