Favourite but would never use "Cornelius"

Hate the funny spelling and chavvy names Jaxon, Jayden, Mason etc.

Quite a few Cornelius in Ireland @Any1ForTennisbut they are men of a certain age - 80s and 90s - and their name is usually shortened to Con.

I’ve always thought Hugh was a strange name as it’s difficult to pronounce and the H is so soft that it sounds like there aren’t any consonants. Difficult for speakers of other languages too in France it would be ‘Oo’.
I can’t hear Ralph without suppressing a snigger, thanks to a Judy Blume book that I read in the 80s.

I met a French woman whose best friend had a Welsh father. She told me friends surname was “Oog” I looked puzzled. “Like your British name, Oog” she persisted.
The name was Hughes!

Like others I dislike cutesy or made up names, yoonique spellings or diminutives used as full names.
For proper names I’ve never been keen on Oliver or Arthur.

Favourites are just good, solid names!

Dislike - Benjamin, George, Jonathan, Nathaniel, Angus, Sonny, any kind of -ayden name

I hate cutie abbreviations as full standalone names such as Alfie.

My absolute worst boy's name is Teddy when it isn't used as an abbreviation for something and is actually on the birth certificate.
