What are your thoughts on this name? It is top of my list but DH is taking some persuading. He thinks it is already too popular

any other suggestions?

We have a Franky. I really wasn’t keen on the name when I was pregnant and he had no name for a couple of days. I always hated the idea of him being called Frank and it sounded old. Now that’s mostly what we call him and it suits him so much and it’s such a strong name.

Love it because I had a lovely uncle called Frank.

ProfessionallyTired · 13/07/2026 13:28

Love it! I have a Franklyn - his nicknames are Frank / Franks / Frankie

StuntNun · 13/07/2026 09:37

That’s such a cool name!

Can imagine it would actually be super cute on a little kid, and grow with them as well.

Would use Frank on the birth certificate. I didn't know it was linked to Francis till i read this thread. Not a fan of Francis.

As a short for Francis, fine.

It's fine.
Your DH doesn't like it though.

I have a 10 year old Frank (Francis). I get so many compliments on it!

Firebird83 · 12/07/2026 21:17

I like it but would use Francis “Frank”

notatinydancer · 12/07/2026 20:36

Really cute. I know one.

toothyache · 12/07/2026 20:10

Love it. Timeless, strong and I also like Frankie as a nn.
