I’ve heard this name recently, and it is growing on me. Can I have some thoughts on Romilly for a girl? Any positive or negative opinions please!

It always makes me think of Erwin Rommel which is why I struggle to see the appeal.

But it isn''t a weird or made-up name.

Lovely name. My friend is called Romilly.

Romilly Hobbs had a shop in Covent Garden.

I love it - Rome-y for short (one of my friends mum was called this when I was a teenager and she was really glam)
we live too close to Stockport though - so DS would have had to have been a Rosemary (shortened to Romy) do it.

just don’t bore everyone out with a Milly nickname. Milly molly Maisie Amelia Emilia etc are ten a penny round here.

Exactly why my DH vetoed it too! Gutted because I love it. And I love Romy as a nn.

I have one. She gets called Rom most of the time by us, which I didn’t anticipate! But generally she is Romilly at school. I still love the name but she is 10 and says it is “mid” 😂
