Baby girl names?? Open to suggestions

Hey!! Currently 5w set on boys name but don't know with a girls! Last name is Lee so sometimes difficult finding one that goes so far we've got Kara, Luna and Nova but open to suggestions middle name will probably be Grace

Sweet names. I think Kara goes best with Lee.

Is it because they are popular? Latin? sound nice? Meanings? Celestial bodies?

The short names don't really work with your surname. Luna will be 1 of 10 in her class with the same name and then half the class will have a dog or cat with the name too. I'd try again

I think with Lee I'd either go one syllable or three syllable. Two syllable sounds too adverby and/or like a cake manufacturer

Miranda Lee is gorgeous - sounds like a classic film star

I do get it that there are dogs called Luna, I just don't think it means humans can't have that name 😊 especially if OP likes it.

However, I did once meet a little boy named Rex - now that is (exclusively) a dog name to me!

How about something like Genevieve?

I don't necessarily think you need a long name, and long names usually get shortened - something like Genevieve might end up being Genny Lee or Evie Lee (Evilly?).
Something like Kate Lee or Tess Lee would be fine.

There have been a couple of PP's suggesting Annabel, but as the surname is Lee, just wanted to draw your attention to the Edgar Allan Poe poem

I was about to suggest they don't use Annabel Lee for the same reason!

I do think a three-syllable name would sound good with Lee. Just not Annabel!

Personally with such a short surname, I'd go for a longer first name, and avoid any names ending in 'a'. They blend into your surname too much making it appear, like a hyphened first name. I know of children called Demi-Leigh and Haper-Lee. Working in a school, I see all sorts of names!

Have you thought about using family names rather than plucking names from suggestions on mumsnet or from baby name websites? They can be more meaningful for children. Any great-aunts/uncles, great-grandparents, grandparents etc with interesting names or middle names?

And more likely to not be the over-popular or samey ones, and you might be one of the first in a trend, so she'd wouldn't be the one with 'that's my mum's name' name.
