Currently got 6 girl names we like however I like all of them 😅

It's between:

Amber
Imogen
Hattie
Hzel
Nina
Ivy

When I had my son 4 years ago I always said if we had a girl I'd want her to be called Ivy however it's now in the top 5 of girl names so it's throwing my husband off it 😂

Thanks everyone! Maybe leaning more towards Imogen then...want a sophisticated name that doesn't sound made up lol. Thought it would be so easy to pick a girls name but I was wrong 😅

Imogen! But then I've got an Imogen...never known by a diminutive and she's 29 now. It's not a definite, that she'll be shortened, by any means. Its a timeless classic, IMO.

This is a NICE list.

These (in order) are the best of the bunch imo

Hazel
Amber
Imogen

Do you like Immy as the nick name?

I love Imogen from your list. Never taught one in 35 years of teaching. My adult DD has a friend named Imogen and she is lovely. Mainly known by her full name.

Chapbook · 18/05/2026 14:45

Nina or Imogen.

Hazel is beautiful & my favorite. Hattie is lovely but I agree with OP Harriet would be my pick for the birth cert name.

I agree, Hazel and Hattie - though Hattie is my preference and again I'd do Harriet on the BC.

NamingNoNames · 18/05/2026 14:43

Missed Nina. I like it but I like Hattie more.

Leavesandthings · 18/05/2026 14:37

Nina is lovely and underused

NamingNoNames · 18/05/2026 14:36

In order:
Harriet nn Hattie
Imogen but I don't like the diminutives
Amber
Hazel
Ivy - dislike it

SnowFrogJelly · 18/05/2026 14:34

Hazel or Nina

Tina46 · 18/05/2026 14:34

Definitely not Hattie unless a nn for Harriet.
Not a big fan of Nina, the others are lovely. Hazel or Imogen are my faves

Nottogetapenny · 18/05/2026 14:34

My granddaughter is a Harriet. I absolutely love her name. Some of hers friends call her Hattie, which is still nice.

Latinglow · 18/05/2026 14:30

Amber and ivy are my favourites here not keen on hattie

Determinedtobethinner · 18/05/2026 14:25

I like Imogen and Hazel.

Bunnyofhope · 18/05/2026 14:23

I like them all, in fact ivy is my least favourite

Mumofgirls2017 · 18/05/2026 14:16

Hazel, Nina or Ivy

railcardfan · 18/05/2026 14:03

Nina out of those, but I adore Harriet - so Harriet, but with the nn Hattie?

AnnaQuayRules · 18/05/2026 14:02

Imogen is my favourite girl's name ever.
Hazel is gorgeous.

I quite like Ivy but it's very popular.
I really don't like Hattie or Nina.
I've known too many dogs called Amber to take it seriously as a name, but that's probably just me.

Allswellthatendswelll · 18/05/2026 14:00

Ivy is maybe too popular atm I agree. I like Hazel, Imogen and Hattie (but Harriet as proper name).

Iris? Sylvia?
