help me pick from final 4!

These are my final four and I love them all but have had feedback from others.

Cassiopeia - it is long would nn to Cassie but DP doesn't want nn as whole name

Kassiopi - prefer the sound but isn't a name but a place in Greece- again nn to Kassie

Astoria - I love but friend said it reminds her of the hotel chain

Doralis - nn Dora. Could be mistake for Dolores which I won' like as much

I love calliope but am not as in love with Callie as I am Cassie. I know I will end up using the nn more!

Calliope? Callie for short? Easier to spell and slightly less of a mouthful than Cassiopeia.

Having stayed in the Waldorf I immediately thought of the hotel with Astoria! Cassiopeia would be my choice - although it depends on your area. It wouldn’t work where I live unless you/your child wanted to discuss constantly.

I find it strange that you’re avoiding Cassia as there’s a family member with the name, yet going for the very similar Cassie as the day-to-day name.

I’m not mad about any of the choices, sorry OP.

Never heard of Cassiopeia OK. People struggle with quite ordinary names.
You've misspelt Dorothea.

Never heard of Cassiopeia and I think 99% of people will struggle to spell it. Cassie is a nice nickname but will it be awkward if there's already a Cassia in your family? Cassie can also be a nn for Caroline if you want another option.

Doralis nn Dora. If you want the nn Dora, I'd go for Dorathea or Theodora, which both sound nicer than Doralis to me.

Astoria - my favourite.

Nice names OP! I like them all but no to Astoria and the reference to a hotel chain. What about Ismene or Artemis or Demeter (prefer Demetra!

Love Cassandra, your other two options for the Cassie nn are a mouthful and hard to spell.
Dora could work on its own? I think Doralis sounds a bit like an illness. (Probably it’s the lis ending that makes me think of bronchiolitis, syphilis, etc).

I also like the suggestions of Calliope and Callista.

Cassiopeia is a beautiful, evocative name and rolls easily off the tongue - totally love it.

Astoria sounds very grand. I wouldn't choose it myself but don't dislike it. Makes me think of Nancy Astor who was a pioneer as the first woman MP.

Not familiar with Doralis but like Dora.

I love Daphne but DP says it's Scooby doo! DP and I both studied Ancient Greece although we're not Greek ourselves!

I know you're not asking for suggestions but if you're looking for something Greek-ish, how about Daphne?

Short, classic, elegant.

Works for cute toddler, sassy teen and accomplished grown up.

Cassiopeia - not someone I’d like to be named after tbh
Kassiopi - probably the best
Astoria - hotel
Doralis - too much like Doris and Delores . What about Isadora?

Cassia is bark. I’m on board with nature names but it’s taking it too far.

Cassandra is fine. I don’t think it’s used enough to be old fashioned- it doesn’t really have an era in the way names like Gavin, Samantha or Linda really pin you to a decade.

Kassiopi or Cassiopeia - I know someone my age (late 40s) with this name, she always go by Cassie but it’s a nice reveal when she shares her full name.
she has a tattoo of the constellation.

I love Cassandra.

I like the classical references and it is not overused. To me it's quite an elegant, romantic name.

I prefer it to Cassia (a cinnamon substitute) as it just has so much more gravitas, and Cassiopeia was just incredibly vain wasn't she?
