help me pick from final 4!

These are my final four and I love them all but have had feedback from others.

Cassiopeia - it is long would nn to Cassie but DP doesn't want nn as whole name

Kassiopi - prefer the sound but isn't a name but a place in Greece- again nn to Kassie

Astoria - I love but friend said it reminds her of the hotel chain

Doralis - nn Dora. Could be mistake for Dolores which I won' like as much

Hmmmmmm. Still not convinced.

Doralis is definitely out! May as well call her Viagra (which actually sounds nicer).

Kassiopi is asking for a lifetime of comparisons to the holiday destination.

Astoria is hotel chain, or where the Goonies was filmed, and the town itself is a dump.

Cassiopeia is too much of a mouthful in my opinion.

Cassandra is still the best alternative but probably too close to Cassia.

I think you need to convince him that Daphne is so much more than Scooby Doo!

I've actually been to Kassiopi (Corfu) - was a right dive circa 30 years ago.

Cassiopeia is a much stronger name what with the connection to Greek mythology and the constellation. It's a "big" name though. And I'm not a huge fan of the nn Cassie.

Astoria just doesn't sound like a name and Doralis is made up.

There are much prettier Greek influenced names out there.

I think it’s also a type of fuchsia. Probably the fuchsia was named after the surname! Different to aster. Although one is a nickname for the other - double flower name!

Cassiopeia is my favourite out of those for the astral connotations and I think it is a beautiful name but good luck to her on learning to spell it. Not that keen on the others. Daphne is lovely. Antigone? Andromeda? Artemis?
Dora could be short for Theodora.

My favourite is Cassie but with the full name Cassandra. I don't think it's any more old fashioned than Cassiopeia.

Cassiopeia. My sister has a friend called this (aged around 30) it’s lovely and I like Cassie too, I’m with you on nice nicknames needing a long time. Sure some people won’t have come across it before, that’s fine everyone hasn’t heard every name.

They’re all a bit odd. Do you really want to use Cassie if you already have a Cassia in the family?

The Astoria was a famous music venue in London. Closed now. That’s all I think of.

a quick google shows me a LOT of hotels and music venues called Astoria.

Doralis sounds like a pill for erectile problems, sorry!^^

In that case, there are so many more beautiful ancient Greek girls names.

Astoria as in the NY Queens suburb, whilst having a very heavy Greek diaspora ( going with your theme) cannot possibly be taken seriously as a girl's name.

If you want honest opinions, none are tot taste and I do usually like flowery, unusual names. My DS' name is not English (from my husband's heritage) and people do struggle with pronunciation even though it's basically phonetic so I'd just caution you about that!

If you love Greek names, can I suggest:

Alethea
Theia
Daphne (love! Though I get your DH thinks of Scooby Doo)
Ariadne
Alexandria
Xanthe
