How would you pronounce the baby name Renie?

Like Rene Magritte? But it has an accent. I've never heard of it for a boy in an English context, but I know two English women called Rene (no accent) short for Irene.

Spell it Rene or Renee ( or Irene on the BC) and tell everyone it's pronounced REENee. People will get used to it. I don't think it's a good idea to make up a spelling - as you can see, people are still not going to immediately pronounce it the way you intend when they see it written down..

I can't work out what you are wanting op. It seems to be "Runner" which isn't a name I know of ...

Yes, my gran was a Renie (pronounced Ree-ney) rather than Irene.

Both significantly nicer names than Renie
