I feel like you’d have to be beautiful to pull off Eden, not sure why. But both are nice.

Cece92 · 12/07/2026 00:31

I move both names so I’m no help lol

Giraffehaver · 12/07/2026 00:29

I've never warmed to Eden but Romy is lovely

itsgettingweird · 11/07/2026 20:39

Prefer Eden of the 2.

However I love the name Romany so would actually suggest that instead of Romy.

KayEmAy · 11/07/2026 20:34

Eden absolutely

hattie43 · 11/07/2026 20:08

No help at all as I like both

I'm not wild on either, although I think Eden wins out for me. I quite like Edie as a nickname.

Echo all of this.

Edie is prettier than Eden.

I don't like Romy.

Robogob · 11/07/2026 14:31

I know five Edens and they’re all boys.

luckylavender · 11/07/2026 10:58

I don’t like either of them but they aren’t embarrassing in any way

backformoreofthesame · 11/07/2026 10:54

Eden is nice

Drivingselfmad · 11/07/2026 10:51

Romy is lovely. The movie Romy & Michelle’s High School Reunion is a comedy classic. And as a teacher, I’ve never taught an annoying Romy.

Helenbelena · 11/07/2026 10:49

Neither

MathsMum3 · 11/07/2026 10:45

Eden is lovely. Obvious how to pronounce and spell, and Edie as a shortened version is also nice.
Romy not obvious to pronounce or spell, and I just don't like it tbh.

Not favourites, sorry.

I prefer ..
Rosemary
Rowena
Edwina
Edina
Elin
Edith
Edna
Ebony

strawberrykat · 11/07/2026 07:16

Romy is gorgeous. I feel like I should like Eden but it seems to be over used by cosmetic companies which has put me off, I find it a bit twee now for girls.

Britishtrees · 11/07/2026 06:58

Rosemary is a name in my family going back generations. Some were known as Romy.

Bloodorangekangaroo · 24/05/2026 20:41

romy my instant thought would be that it is a nick name. Eden is a nice name though. I haven’t come across many.

Squirrelsnut · 24/05/2026 20:38

I quite like both.
Alternative: Rumer (as in Godden)?

cloudysky75 · 24/05/2026 20:32

I love Eden

leeeelaaaa · 24/05/2026 07:10

Romy is lovely and predominantly a girl’s name

https://names.darkgreener.com/#romy

Eden is OK

Teaandjaffa · 24/05/2026 06:04

I know an Eden, she’s very cool and quirky so the name
suits her entirely! All the Romy’s I’ve met are Boys.

emeraldrainbow · 24/05/2026 05:59

Frustration247 · 11/05/2026 11:12

Both lovely names , I have a Romy and she loves her name!

That’s great, and helpful!

I know a Romy short for Rosamund, and the only Eden I know is a boy.

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 11/05/2026 11:27

I like both of them, Eden makes me think of one of the Barbara Vine novels.

I think Mick Hucknall's daughter is called Romy, for some reason I assumed it was Italian because of his love of Italy. I had no idea it had German roots.

PixelDustMom · 11/05/2026 11:15

Both lovely names. My favourite is Eden, I love Edie.
