Help me narrow my baby name list

Already have a Charlotte (Lottie). Surname is double barrelled one syllable names, first starts with an S (eg Smith-Green) girls I like: Phoebe Lucinda (Lucy) Elodie Sophie Clara boys: James Samuel Henry Isaac Any thoughts on narrowing down? Middle names already chosen -Elizabeth for a girl & Thomas for a boy. tia x

I like all the names apart from Lucinda, but I agree that Elodie doesn’t go great with Elizabeth. My favourites are Clara and Isaac. I really love Isaac, it would have been my DD’s name if she were a boy.

Phoebe is a top 20 name in England and Wales, looks like it's been in the top 50 since about 1998 so there are a lot of Phoebes, you'll always get people who can't spell but I'm sure most people are used to the spelling by now.

I've seen Isaac, Issac, Izak etc.

Isaac is the usual version. Izak is a muslim name and pronounced Izzack.
Issac is a misspelling.

Sophie is the only girls name on your list i like. Henry is an excellent name. Why would you need other options?

Leaning away from Elodie on the basis of “trendiness” and being too alliterative with Elizabeth.
I don’t mind a name being popular (e.g. James), but I don’t want a trendy name that will really date him/her one day!

Also thinking Zac could be a sweet shortening for Isaac although I like it as a name on its own.

Edit to say I’ve never come across the Issac spelling? Only ever seen Isaac. Slightly concerned about that & Phoebe- will everyone know how to spell and pronounce?

I think Elodie sounds too similar to Lottie, if you were calling them or using them in a sentence, so I'd take that off.
They are lovely names though!

I couldn't tell you if my SIL's child's name was misspelt. Phoebe gets misspelt regularly on here. Nowhere as often as Issac though.

Are you sure you don’t mind a name being popular? My niece’s name is Esmee which apparently is was very popular.

Phoebe - nice but it's popular
Lucinda (Lucy) - dislike Lucinda, like Lucy
Elodie - meh, another Ellie name. Looks pretty but doesn't sound nice.
Sophie - like but Sophia and Sofia are overused
Clara - dislike, I can't see why anyone likes it

James - would use but not as a middle name
Samuel - like it
Henry - ok
Isaac - ok but the Issac misspelling would annoy me.

Don't worry about the middle name, they rarely get used.
Smith-Green be too much?

Lucy or James for me.

I don't like same starting letter for siblings personally as it gets confusing for post and admin, so I'd rule out Clara (also this sounds quite similar to Charlotte to me as the first syllable rhymes), and Elodie is too similar to Elizabeth if you want to be picky, and I don't really like Lucinda. So that leaves Phoebe or Sophie for a girl.

For boys I don't think James Thomas goes, so that leaves the other 3 all of which I like. Would probably pick Samuel just because it's the least commonly used these days.

I like Phoebe and Elodie, but Phoebe goes best with Elizabeth.

Also like Samuel & Isaac, both go with Thomas but Samuel flows better.

Henry is my favourite and lovely with Charlotte
