I am a teacher and my Year 7 form were the same as DS. Many James/Jamie, Sam, Ben/Benji/, Harry and Joe - more than 2 of each. Girls Isabel/Isobel/Isabelle/Isabella, Olivia, Eleanor, Ellie/Elle/Eli, Grace.
All lovely names. DS was not one of them.

spiderlight · 03/08/2026 21:13

My DS is 19 now - practically all his male classmates were called Dylan or Callum.

User6761 · 03/08/2026 20:49

Sorry realised old thread!

Yellowchair1 · 03/08/2026 20:30

Lots of Ava's and Ella's here!

Lion1618 · 02/05/2026 22:01

Small village school but there are repeats of quite a few names. Archie, Albie, Jago, Theo, Joseph, Lowen, Rosie, Isabelle and Grace are some that I can think of.

ByDreamyMintNewt · 02/05/2026 11:36

Names with more than one in my children's classes:
Y3 - Sienna, Darcey, Elliot, Oliver
Reception - Harry

Most popular names in the school I work at: Oscar, Oliver, Isla.

MsJJones · 02/05/2026 10:17

Y3 - Isabella, Adam, David, Luca/Lucas
Then lots of very similar sounding Ava/Aisah/Eva/Ella/Emma type names.

Quokkafeet · 02/05/2026 09:40

pinkpie · 01/05/2026 20:20

Most of the girls are called Isla, seriously.

Where are you out of interest? I have an 11 year old Isla and thought there would be loads of them and she's the only one in her 3 form entry primary school! We do have a few of the (I think?) Arabic spelling, Ayla.

We have so many multiples Sophia and Sofia. 3 kids and each one has more than one in their class.

For boys, the only multiples are Finn, Arthur and Charlie.

Sheepskiner · 02/05/2026 09:31

Ds is also year 3 and we have multiple oscars. Not just in his class but also at clubs he goes to and in our neighbourhood. 8 year old Oscar’s everywhere

Hotandpointy · 02/05/2026 09:28

Evie and George. So many bloody Georges, it used to be a fine name but I’m sick of it lately.

Pinkywoo · 02/05/2026 09:03

Tiny village primary school, but multiples of Willow, Ruby, Rupert, Hunter and Hugo.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 02/05/2026 08:59

DS Y12 - lots of Noah, Oliver, Thomas, Niamh, Evie

DD Y9 - lots of Amy, Poppy, Thomas, Noah

17caterpillars1mouse · 02/05/2026 06:35

Year 5 the only names the same are Leo and Natalia (62 kids)

Year 2 there are duplicates of Dominic and Alicia (54 kids)

FedUpOfThisGCSEmalarkey · 01/05/2026 22:32

Emily, Evie, Isla. Millions of them in both Y9 and Y11

Tickingcrocodile · 01/05/2026 22:24

My DDs are teens now and have names that were in the top ten so I was expecting there to be others with the same name, but there weren't any in either their primary or secondary cohorts. The duplicate girls names were not ones you would expect, like Ruby and Luna. There was more than one George in each of their primary classes though.

MississippiCroc · 01/05/2026 22:20

Oliver, George, Samuel, Theo, Oscar, Finlay, Jack, Harry.

Evie, Olivia, Amelia.
