Because it honours my husband's heritage and I am willing to learn.

He has a different culture to me and speaks a different language. One that I try to learn, admittedly slowly. That is part of my children though and they will grow up learning.

I see your husband is Irish and you are Cornish. Why not let him suggest Irish names and you suggest Cornish ones?

Irish names, most people will be fine with pronouncing Niamh and Sean/Seamus etc.

So far people have mentioned my name, my sisters name and my current child's first and middle names. So this is pretty on point.

My favourite at the moment is Elowen for a girl but I can't decide which Irish name would go with it and my husband isn't keen. Boys names I am much more unsure. Maybe Kytto? Or Taran? I love Cillian but is it too popular? What connotations does that one carry now?

I'm Cornish and my husband is Irish so we agreed ages back that we would use both traditional names for our children.
