Only like Summer and Aurora from your list. PP suggested Aurelie but if I was going on that direction I'd have Aurelia.

Love savannah. Not keen on the others

Dulcie is the new Darcy. Stand out in the UK would be Avery. But Nova is really nice!

They all sound like extras in Saved by the Bell. That said, I’m not American so they’re probably lost on me.

Extras! not even a main character!

it's what it sounds like if you can't say R and many people especially little children can't.

Yes, I know 2 baby girls with that name and their siblings can’t pronounce it yet, although it doesn’t get much better when it’s pronounced properly. Terrible name. 😬

Similar to Savannah, Sienna is also a place - in Italy, although spelt Siena

*edit, apologies wrong quote

Edited

I think the pigment is Sienna, the town is Siena.

Aurora is not similar to areola at all

It’s spelt Eloise though

Avery. Favourite from your list.

Melsy88 · 24/04/2026 11:18

Aurelie = Orally. I wouldn't set a child up to a lifetime of this!

Reminds me of Fawlty Towers and Mr O'Reilly.

I always imagine it was mums who admired Sienna Miller who called their DD that, and I think that timing fits. The girls I know who are Sienna are that sort of age too - kind of 10 to 20.

I've loved the name since Sienna Blake came into Hollyoaks. I always thought it was really posh and fancy (as the character started off as!) Never even thought of Sienna Miller who is also a classy lady!

Boggyjo · 24/04/2026 16:18

IamtheDevilsAvocado · 24/04/2026 07:48

Aurélie is a lovely alternative?

Oriana?

Aurélie - not a good idea.....

DramaAlpaca · 24/04/2026 16:15

I have a soft spot for Sienna, though I'm aware it's seen to be dated.

The rest aren't my thing at all, but I'm old and no doubt out of touch.

PixelDustMom · 24/04/2026 16:12

Favourite ones - Sienna, Avery, Piper and Savannah 💕

PissOffJeffrey · 24/04/2026 16:10

I get to see names of new born babies at work and here, in the midlands, every second baby girl is either Aurora or Aurelia at the moment. Both nice names but very popular.

Harper - OK. Has quite a modern “trendy” vibe.
Summer - no. Same vibe as Jayden/Kayden.
Darcie - always seemed too “fussy” for me.
Autumn - OK.
Sienna - nice.
Skylar - no. Same vibe as Summer.
Avery - I only know of a boy named this. Not awful but I probably wouldn’t choose it myself.
Piper - no. Same vibe as Harper. Not the worst name but not great either.
Nova - sorry, I’m old enough for this to always be a car.
Savannah - love it. It was on my list but DH vetoed it.

Poorabbeywalsh2 · 24/04/2026 16:07

Nova

Ansjovis · 24/04/2026 16:01

For me, Darcy (with this spelling) is clearly the best of the bunch. The rest are, to me, reminiscent of what we might see on an American baby name list in the 2010s.

FatRosie · 24/04/2026 15:42

Elouise is awful. it's like a mishmash of Eloise and Louise and just looks like you can't spell.

examworries2026 · 24/04/2026 14:56

My DD is 15 and there are 5 siennas (and some variations) in her school year, it really feels like a name that peaked at that time, I think I know about 15!
