I think Karen absolutely WILL come back. Those daft memes and horrible connotations will long be forgotten. It's an attractive name, it's just having an unfashionable moment. Thirty years ago this thread would have been answered with names like 'Fred, Stan, Elsie, Nancy etc'. The vintage naming trend rule is generally 'not in living memory'. So in 30 years time, Karen could well be back in fashion.

I suspect in the next decade names many people rightly or wrongly consider dated / boring now will be on the up

I can’t imagine names like Terry, Colin, Gilbert, Doreen or Mildred ever becoming popular. However a few years ago I would have said the same about Sylvie, Betty, Wilfred and Sydney. Yet these names are all coming back.

Sybil will definitely be back, and sooner rather than later I think.

Karen is not going to survive I don’t think, or Sharon and Tracey. Which is a shame as Tracey is actually a great name, it was just too popular

I'm shocked there are some children with the name Agnes.
It's the name of an older relative of mine. She has always disliked her name & also the nickname Aggie. She was named after an Aunt. The rest of us felt sorry for her and were also relieved, we didnt have that name.

Agnes is a lovely name. I also quite like Agatha because I adore the books of Agatha Christie, but Agnes is a prettier name.
