Suggestions for a unisex baby name for a baby loss certificate

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post, I wasn’t sure whether to post here or in the miscarriage section

I’ve unfortunately just miscarried my first baby, at the hospital the doctor mentioned we could apply for a baby loss certificate which me and my partner are keen to do but we want to name our baby for this rather than leave that section blank

We were too early to find out the gender so we want to go with something unisex/gender neutral that would work for either so if anyone could offer any suggestions that would be great.

In terms of the type of names we like, If baby had been a girl she would have been Clara and If baby had been a boy he would have been Henry

thank you

So sorry for your loss.

Did you have a nickname for the baby and could you use that?

Otherwise, Sam, Robin, Evelyn, Riley, Lou

Maybe something a bit mystical/ethereal.

Sorry for your loss 💐 I was going to suggest Rowan too

MerseyChick · 09/04/2026 20:13

Sam/Sammy?

Snowie99 · 09/04/2026 20:10

You could go with something completely different like Ocean, Sunny, Aspen, Sky 💐

Sorry for your loss OP. I was thinking Hen (Henry or Henrietta) or Ren? Clara seems a little more tricky thou I like the pps suggestion of Charlie too.

Charlie is classic like Henry and a similar sound to Clara.
