Egg-luhn-tine - to rhyme with 'seen' at the end. Means 'sweet briar' if memory serves. A bit like Augustine.

I think Benedict is beautiful, both in how it sounds and how it looks written down. And it means 'blessed', which I love.
Along similar lines, Grace; I'm not Christian, or religious in any way, but I love the quality of grace as an idea.

I also love weird Shakespeare names, especially Lysander for a boy and Hero for a girl.

Around 1993, I worked for a Greek/english family who had a little girl called Athanasia (they pronounced it Athan-a-see-a though google tells me there’s other ways!) and I thought it was the most beautiful name I’d ever heard.

Doesn’t it remind you of Euthanasia?

I heard the name Miriama once and I love it. But not Miriam. The first for me is ethereal but the second quite earthy and blunt. Which seems bizarre when the only difference is an 'a' on the end!

Mariamne is lovely too.

I love Tatiana, but it has to be pronounced correctly - "Tuh-tyah-na", not "Tat-ee-ah-na", which is awful and sadly the way a lot of people say it.

I always loved the name Araminta as a child. And Cecily and Clover. Heavily influenced by the TV shows and books I watched and read.

Today, I would choose Iris, Clementine and Eleanor.
