I am stuck on two names (they both have middle name listed) Please tell me what sounds most stand out and memorable..and what name will be the least regrettable.

Calista Skye Or Lexie Rose

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

You mean Harrison Ford 😁

Unless there's something we don't know Grin

Calista Skye. I would think of Clint Eastwood's partner Calista Flockhart and the Scottish Island. Lexie is more like a pet name to me.

Callie-Skye is the type of name that many MNetters would call chavvy.

I like Callie-Skye rather than Calista

Sounds like a cheap body spray aimed at tweens.

Personally I would go for Alexandra Rose and call her Lexie for short. Alexandra is a beautiful name and gives her loads of options for shortenings when she grows up. (A lot of people - myself included - hit a point in teenage years when you want to “reinvent yourself”. Being able to because Alex rather than Lexie helps with that.)

I would say that though - Alexandra was my girl’s name for ds. (He would have been Ally for short.)

Changed my mind - I agree with this

PrincessHoneysuckle · 15/02/2026 11:09

I like Callie-Skye rather than Calista

Rose is utterly dull and a filler.
Lexie is awful.

This is what I would do too.

timoteigirl · 15/02/2026 09:07

Skyla feels like it is a misspelt version of Skylar or Skyler.

DominoLover51 · 15/02/2026 08:54

How about Skye Rosalie or Skyla Rosalind?

timoteigirl · 15/02/2026 08:50

Mosaic80 · 15/02/2026 08:45

Calista Skye is nicer imo.

ThatMintMember · 15/02/2026 08:44

They remind me of Greys Anatomy actually. Lexie Grey and Calliope Iphigenia "Callie" Torres!

Mumofgirls2017 · 15/02/2026 08:14

Callista Skye 100%

NewShoes · 15/02/2026 07:03

Callista nn. Callie is lovely. I personally really don’t like Lexie unless you go with Alexandra and use that as a shortening.

LivingTheDreamish · 15/02/2026 06:46

Calista Skye. Lovely name. I like Lexie only as a nn for Alexandra.

Hopefulsalmon · 15/02/2026 06:30

Calista Skye is lovely

Pettenell · 15/02/2026 06:03

Calista Skye is great!

teamaven · 15/02/2026 00:35

Genuinely don’t mean to be rude but they both sound like stripper names 🥲 neither name is inherently bad I think it’s just put together. People are commenting Alexandra which is lovely but I do also like Alexis

EmiliaRuusuvuori · 14/02/2026 23:14

Calista Rose is lovely and Callie is good for a nickname.

Needmorelego · 14/02/2026 23:11

I think Calista Rose sounds very pretty 👶

alexdgr8 · 14/02/2026 22:56

Alexandre is a much better name than those options.
I think they sound flimsy or flakes.
Best to give the child a proper solid classic name. They can decide or evolve into any nickname if they wish.
How is skye a name??
