i like fox Oliver Joseph

crumpet · 13/02/2026 23:00

Fox Robert Joseph flows quite well

Im not usually a fan of “out there” names but I do like Fox!
As PP suggests a more traditional middle name perhaps?
I like Ellis, Rhys, Tomas or Dylan.
I’m Welsh as you can mo doubt guess!

William?

Magnificentkitteh · 13/02/2026 22:58

I think you could definitely do worse than Fox. But I'd probably try and go for a classic/slightly pretentious middle name

Fox Rupert Joseph
Fox Meredith Joseph
Fox Llewellyn Joseph
Fox Marlborough Joseph

Etc

I guess something classic. I don't hear anyone making jokes about Bear Grylls and it's no different really.

Bear Grylls is his nickname. He isn't actually called Bear I believe his name is actually Edward.

Unfortunately with a first name as your surname I think they will
go through life with people assuming their name is Joseph Fox. Or maybe fortunately.

This.

OriginalSkang · 13/02/2026 22:58

I quite like it

LeftBoobGoneRogue · 13/02/2026 22:57

I would agree with this. As for middle names I would suggest something more traditional incase he grows bored of being called Fox.

Is Fox a male name or a female name?

Sorry should've said, it's a boy

balletflatblister · 13/02/2026 22:55

Fox Alexander sounds really nice. I like Fox and don't think it sounds ridiculous for any X Files fan

ClaudiasDreadfulEyeliner · 13/02/2026 22:54

Glove? No but seriously, Fox isn't that weird these days so don't worry too much. As for middle names, Gregory? Victor? Robin? Edward?

MrsBadEnoch · 13/02/2026 22:54

Terrier

LadyCrustybread · 13/02/2026 22:54

Kit

Flukingflukes · 13/02/2026 22:54

With an unusual name, I would pair it with something more traditional.

Fox Jonathan
Fox Alexander
Fox Edward
Fox Matthew
Fox Oliver
