Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I’d probably just go straight to social services.

I guess something classic. I don't hear anyone making jokes about Bear Grylls and it's no different really.

Bear isn’t his real name, it’s a nickname.

Crumpets12 · 13/02/2026 23:44

If it makes you feel better I know of 3 children called Fox in quite a smallish town so I think it’s quite a “normal”ish name now.
I know it’s another animal but Fox Griffin Joseph came to mind.
Fox Campbell
Fox Cameron
Fox Maxwell
Fox Elliot
Fox Sebastian

Willowywisp · 13/02/2026 23:43

Cub

Shitmonger · 13/02/2026 23:43

I’m sorry but “Fox Cunt Joseph” is absolutely sending me 🤣🤣

SecretSquirrelLoo · 13/02/2026 23:41

Fox Joseph

Fox Alexander Joseph

Those are actually really good names.

canklesmctacotits · 13/02/2026 23:40

I think a really, REALLY old fashioned name would work well. Medieval, even. Cedric, Alaric, Benedict, Durand. That kind of thing.

Fifthtimelucky · 13/02/2026 23:39

I think a middle name starting with a vowel works well after the X.

I like Fox Edward, Fox Andrew or Fox Oliver.

I love the name Sebastian, but don’t think the S follows on well from the X.

I also like the name Alexander, but think it’s too long compared with the short first name and fairly short surname.

titchy · 13/02/2026 23:37

It’s not that ridiculous at all, and I’m old!

Dontpretenditssuchamystery · 13/02/2026 23:36

I love the first name Fox
Fox Joseph works lovely as it is
I do think Kit is nice for a middle name

Thingscouldntgetanyworse · 13/02/2026 23:35

Something normal so he can use it later in life instead of his ridiculous forename. I wish people would remember that babies grow up into adults who have to apply for jobs, meet a partner etc.

James, John, Adam… something like that

WeAreNotOk · 13/02/2026 23:35

Oh I wouldn't worry about it too much OP. I called my son an uncommon name and had no end of raised eyebrows.
Right from baby group we came across all sorts of (in my opinion) strange names plus we live in a very multi-cultural area so there were those difficult to pronounce names too.
I think all babies grow into their names and very soon you'll be glad he's named something fairly unique. Embrace the name with your DD.

BringonSpringnowplease · 13/02/2026 23:35

I think the name is fine. With the surname, they might find people mix them up and think he's Joseph Fox.

feebeecat · 13/02/2026 23:33

William.

Does he need a middle name ?

I actually think 'Fox Joseph' with no middle name sounds quite chic

Travelfairy · 13/02/2026 23:28

2pence · 13/02/2026 22:51

Sake?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Watchoutfortheslowaraf · 13/02/2026 23:28

Fox Alexander is great. I like the 2 x sounds. I don’t like fox Sebastian as much because the names blend together more.

other possibilities

Fox Harrison
Fox Benjamin
Fox Theodore
Fox Elijah
Fox Macauley

CoastalCalm · 13/02/2026 23:28

Does he need a middle name ?

user2848502016 · 13/02/2026 23:27

I actually quite like Fox and am usually one for
more traditional names.

I would go more traditional as a middle name though
Alexander
Arthur
Henry

Bunionbabe · 13/02/2026 23:27

It can only be Cub surely.

AppropriateAdult · 13/02/2026 23:27

Fox is fine, and other kids his age won’t bat an eyelid - there is much more variety in names these days than when we were kids.

I think a two-syllable name works best between Fox and Joseph - Matthew, Daniel, Henry, David?

MargaritaMargaret · 13/02/2026 23:26

2pence · 13/02/2026 22:51

Sake?

My choice too! 😁

WallaceinAnderland · 13/02/2026 23:22

I wouldn't go for Alexander because of the initials btw

WallaceinAnderland · 13/02/2026 23:22

Does she actually want a middle name and has she asked you for your suggestions OP?

Cathmawr · 13/02/2026 23:20

I think Fox is a great name! What's so bad about being unusual?

Fox Alexander sounds good I think, and Fox Oliver.
