Thoughts on Elma?

Saw an old thread on here absolutely slamming Elma - but wondered what people make of it now? I like the sound of it, simple to spell, sounds classic to me. A bit different to Emma / Ella. Has family meaning for us. Curious what others think!

Sounds like a Muppets character

We considered Elna for dd1. I like both Elna and Elma

Alma is quite pretty.
Elma could get mistaken for Elmo.

Elephant.

Shouldn’t it be Alma?
Elma is the elephant

I've never come across this spelling ~ I'm only familiar with Alma

I'm really sorry but my first thought was Elmer the elephant books

You've said it's simple to spell but I think most people will ask you how it's spelt as I don't think it's a name many are familiar with
