Baby name to go with Hettie and Alfie

We have two children called Henrietta and Alfred who have been known as Hettie and Alfie since birth. We’re expecting a third (gender unknown) and I’m really struggling with names. Any suggestions?

Thanks for all of your great suggestions. I agree that an "ee" sounding ending/nickname might be a bit too repetitive. I love Monty and Clemmie but can't use them for that reason. Current favorites are:

Girls:

  • Violet
  • Olive
  • Clara

Boys:

  • Max (Maximilian)
  • George
  • Hamish
  • Angus
  • Rupert
  • Rufus
although my husband isn't keen on the latter two.

I love the suggestion of Wildfred, but we often call our son Alf, so Wilf and Alf might be a bit too similar.

Our Alfie is named after Alfie and Annie Rose, but we already have an Annie Rose in the family. We also have a few of the other suggestions, so can't use those - despite being lovely.

I love Clara and Max - they would actually be my top choices if I had a baby tomorrow 😁

George was my first thought for a boy

Clara is lovely for a girl and goes well with the other two names
Violet is nice too but Lettie as a nickname wouldn’t work so you’d have to go Vi if you wanted a nickname which isn’t as nice

Yes, another "ie" ending would be a bit sillie.
I'd give the next child a strong short name.

Definitely agree - maybe
