Yes its a bit dated, but i find it refreshing and at least she'd almost certainly be the only one in her class. Maybe Lindy as an affectionate shortening. Thoughts?

Too old and not made a comeback like Esme, Grace, Ruby etc
Linda isn't awful, but it's just like calling your daughter Pauline or Tracey or Joanne. I hate Belinda and Lindy just makes me think of Lindy hop or Lindy West. Linda, it's Linda Green (Tarbuck lass, old sitcom).

My mil is called Linda. So for that reason alone…. no.
