Which would you choose from our final Top 2?

Baby is nearly here and we don't know if it's a boy or a girl. This is our third. Our older two don't have any kind of theme in their names and neither name is in the Top 100 for the UK - not that that's a requirement this time!

Our top choice for a girl are Nancy and Celeste.

For a boy, it's Rudy and Lucien.

What are your thoughts? Which would you choose?

Not keen on any but Nancy and Lucien.

Rudy is awful especially this time of year.
I just keep singing ‘message to you Rudy’ too. It’s also slang for being rude.

Nancy. I don’t like either of your boy choices. Rudy just makes me think of red-faced people, rudeness, The Specials, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and Lucien I find a bit mimsy unless you’re French and pronounce it the French way.

I don’t like any but Nancy and Rudy are the better two, at a real push.
Lucien reminds me of Lucifer and is effeminate to my ears. Rudy not great for a young male. Isn’t there a children’s tv programme about an elephant called Celeste?

Congratulations on your imminent arrival! They are gorgeous names. I think Lucien and Celeste are gorgeous but also really like Nancy and Rudy.

Rudy would be the full name not a shortened version. I'm not worried about using the name for a December baby. Only family and friends are going to know his birthday growing up and I doubt anyone close would find the Rudolph connection funny enough to tease!

It's good to see all four names coming up in the comments. I don't think there is a clear favourite

Celeste. Id pick Rudy over Lucien, but id prefer something like Rory or Rafe over Rudy.

Nancy instantly reminds me of Nancy Mitford.
Celeste is nice, I know it's popular in Australia as I know a few;) it's quite celestial for Christmas

Rudy- is that short for Rudolph? At christmas? Why would you do this? Or short for Rueben? I would use the full name.

Lucien - I quite like this, but it will always be shortened to Lucie. Or Luke. Or Lucas.

Celeste and Lucien! I know you haven’t asked for other names but Luther has a similar feel to Lucien and also uncommon
