Which one do you prefer - if you dislike all 3, what other suggestions for a similar vibe?

Henry of those 3

Pettenell · 16/12/2025 23:22

Harry is my favourite, and I would use it in a heartbeat!

NotAllowedToSayThat · 16/12/2025 22:59

Henry and Harry and classics. Katie Price named her son Harvey. I don’t know how else to explain the difference. I’ll get flamed and pearls will be clutched but you all know what I mean.

DappledThings · 16/12/2025 22:54

Henry, then you can call him Harry. But you also have the option of using the proper name or another nickname later like Hal.

Advocodo · 16/12/2025 22:53

Henry

Calliopespa · 16/12/2025 22:49

I think Harvey has a very different feel from the other two.

I much prefer Harry and Henry, but personally I'd only use Harry as nn for Henry or - and here is my suggestion - Harold, which is a brilliant old Anglo Saxon classic that gets overlooked and shortens really well to Harry, but gives him something a bit fresh and different (yet still totally classic and traditional) as BC name.

Lemonlimonade · 16/12/2025 21:57

None of them

But Henry if I have to choose

petermaddog · 16/12/2025 20:20

Harvey, then Henry

Harry not so keen on

Moreteaandchocolate · 16/12/2025 19:33

I know loads of Henrys where I live and far fewer Harrys - I’ve always loved the name Harry (I would have used it for my son but it didn’t go with our surname).

I like them all though, in this order

  1. Harry
  2. Henry
  3. Harvey
CarlaLemarchant · 16/12/2025 19:18

I have a 2011 and 2014 born dc. Harry and Henry were v popular in my 2011 borns year, less so in my 2014 borns. Maybe going out of fashion? Don’t know any Harveys though.

If you like the traditional vibe Tom, Will, Joe, James.

If you’re really keen on the H names, Harry is the best.

Terrytheweasel · 16/12/2025 19:16

Henry

ElsaSnow · 16/12/2025 19:16

Henry - lots of Henry’s go by Harry too so best of both. Not a fan of Harvey for a child - I know a brown cockerpoo called Harvey and he suits it though!

All 3 are in the top 100 names but Harry being top 5 makes me wonder if he will be the 4th Harry in a class of children. I do like it though.

I know 10x the amount of young Henrys than Harrys.

I prefer Harrison I think but I know a couple. Harvey is nice.

mellicauli · 16/12/2025 19:13

I agree - Harvey is now completely tainted..There's probably more to come from Weinstein story, and you don't want to saddle a poor child with that.

Emanwenym · 16/12/2025 19:12

Harry isn't in the top 5 in England & Wales, or Scotland. Baby name explorer

soontobeamama · 16/12/2025 19:12

Harry

Am805463 · 16/12/2025 19:11

Henry is my favourite. I also like Harrison!

Ladamesansmerci · 16/12/2025 19:09

I like Henry the best! I like Harry too. Unfortunately as soon as I hear Harvey, I think of Harvey Weinstein!

timoteigirl · 16/12/2025 19:08

Henry the only one that won't age badly

Sunshineo · 16/12/2025 19:08

Sorry, that’s what I meant.

Harry, Henry and things like Edwin or James.

Harvey to me is similar to Reece and Liam.

smallsilvercloud · 16/12/2025 19:08

I personally prefer Henry, although thinking from a male POV I think they’d prefer Harvey or Harry

YellowCherry · 16/12/2025 19:07

Harry

Sunshineo · 16/12/2025 19:05

Henry is my favourite. Harvey is my least favourite. I don’t feel like they have a similar vibe at all.

I feel Harvey is probably different vibe to Harry/Henry to be fair
